Government
The government in Aphroditus was democratic. It consisted of an assembly in which all male citizens above the age of 18, except for slaves could take part of and vote, and it had political power over their polis. In Aphroditus there were three levels of government that had power over the levels below them, to ensure that all laws were reasonable and fair to the public. The bottom level, di̱miourgós meaning the creators, was the largest group of citizens that created the laws and sent them to the second level. Enkríno̱ meaning approve, approved the laws for the assembly that were created by the first level. The third level was the assembly, which consisted of 50 Councilmen. They had power over the other two levels and put laws into action if they were approved. The assembly also had control over the court, which was separated into three authorities; Chief Justice, Army Chief, and Financial Chief (see figures below).
